He loves his job more than me.

Poor poor friend. Who ended up here after googling that phrase. It's probably true. He likes his job and I hate his job so he probably does love his job more than me. Which leads me to something thats been on my mind a lot lately. My grammatical skills are quite sucky. We all know Im extremely fickle and dismissive of contractions. Lately, though, Ive realized, my problem goes much deeper. Im constantly dangling participles and misplacing prepositional phrases. Im a hack. A hack I tell you.....not that Im motivated or even remotely interested in doing anything about it. Ive just....noticed it. Thats all.

So....thanks to my darlin' dorksister Pippajo chez panflutemaster got our first award! Yes yes, its an exciting time for us. I was the proud recipient of the

Granted, I have some suspicion that she gave me the award because she likes me and I make her laugh more than I make her think but that's good enough for me. But with this great honor comes great responsibility. I am supposed to do a list of five blogs that make me think. I am supposed to tag them and also link back to this place for the origin of the link. Ok the problem is, I cant do that to you folks. I read about 20 blogs and they ALL make me think. I have a huge problem with this whole "sophie's choice" kind of mentality. So Im going to cheat and link to them all. Not in this post though. Because it will take too long. Besides, I forgot how to get into my blogroll and i really need to link up my buddies. I realize this is cheating. But in the name of the dangling participles, I don't really care. A better person might decline the award. Not me though, you can have that award when you pry it from my cold dead hands baby.

First of all, I don't know what the heck you're talking about, with all that fancy schmancy grammar lingo.

Secondly, Congratulations, amiga!

And C- You do make us think, silly!

Is there anything wrong with me giving you an award because I like you and you make me laugh? Besides, you DO make me think, you twit! Maybe you don't make me think about the environment and the homeless and the sad state of medicare and my stances on all three, but you make me think about words, and humor and random, silly stuff! Who says one is better than the other, I ask you?

No one said it was a SERIOUS thinker's blog award (I don't think)! Like I said before, your use of the English language is the kind that definitely requires thought and THAT, is one of the reasons you are so deserving. 'Kay?

Have I beat this to death enough?

PS I mean "twit" in the most loving way possible.
